Calling all Speakers
The Canadian Frac Sand 2017 conference is seeking presentations that are broadly focused on the following key topics:
North America is experiencing a resurgence in frac sand supply, largely due to the development of shale gas and tight oil production from the U.S and Canadian plays. This is leading to challenges in transporting frac sand efficiently and cost effectively. Market suppliers are increasingly utilising on existing rail networks as a means of transporting frac sand supplies between markets and wellsite’s.
Previously, the average well used around 2,500 tons of frac sand; wells are now often using twice that amount, with some wells even having as much as 10,000 tons of sand being pumped into them. Research estimates that the overall demand for proppant is set to rise, not only because of a growth in the number of wellsite’s being developed across North America, but also due to the increase in frac stages and proppant intensity. For frac sand producers to take advantage of this rise in demand the supply chain will have to overcome the current transportation and logistical challenges in rail, storage and transloading infrastructure which is currently preventing much needed proppant from reaching wellsite’s cost effectively and on time.
Canadian Frac Sand 2017 will be an opportunity for professionals engaged in the proppant supply chain and for end users wanting to share their experiences to report on their findings and to exchange views. Presentations that focus on the current challenges in frac sand markets, transportation and logistics, and end user case studies are most welcome, along with other relevant topics of timely interest.
Be a part of our multi-disciplined agenda...
The Canadian Frac Sand 2017 forum will be an opportunity for all professionals engaged in relevant disciplines to report on their accomplishments and to exchange views. The event will have a unique emphasis on networking and building new relationships, including generating dialogue in technical know-how and to find new solutions for a challenging market. There will also be an opportunity to integrate with allied industries and to demonstrate an insight into new facilities design and engineering initiatives for mutual benefit.
This year, the Canadian Frac Sand 2017 Exhibition & Conference takes place in Calgary, Alberta and will be organized by the research team at iQ Hub along with its strategic partners.
